Students exchange in Wolin- Poland

The 3rd students exchange of YES took place in Publiczna Szkola Podstawowa im. Boleslawa Chrobrego w Kolczewie -Wolin from 6-10 May 2019. It was a beautiful experience for both pupils and teachers. We visited the park of Vikings, where many workshops took place in order to understand the way of life in this period of history: hand writing, clay crafts, archery, traditional games and food. We have seen bissons, deers and other animals and birds in their natural environment in the Wolin National park.

At school many interesting activities carrying out: Collaboration and team working in mix international groups for find out and present information, taking decisions, cooking busquits. Some visits in the beautiful baltic landscape gave us the opportunity to built friendly bounds and life relationships.

Great week of cooperative work of students and teachers from Greece, Northern Ireland, Spain, Italy and Poland. The first day of the school visit began with a special welcome and artistic performance prepared by students from PSP Kołczewo. From Monday, students started joint project works related to entrepreneurship and children's rights, and teachers participated in specially organized trainings. All the students were divided into international groups with very important patrons of interesting women from the past. Each group had to prepare a poster with information about their patron. The first day was also the time for integration of students from different counties. They helped each other with preparing sausages over the bonfire.

Teachers had a very interesting training extending didactic skills. They also had time for job shadowing.

During next days students prepare special board made of stones from the beach. They wrote special good thoughts for other people. They also planted trees in honor of the famous women. The next activity was connected with the trip to Wolin National Park. Children prepared posters with information of their local national parks. The final activity connected with entrepreneurship was preparing muffins from partner countries. Students had to buy ingredients and then prepare muffins at school. Teachers helped them. Students said that all muffins were delicious. It was unforgettable week.
